Where do I start?

Start by attending one of our semi-annual Wedding Showcases! You will be blown away by the inspiration from food to decor to get you started on your planning journey. Our Showcases are usually held in February and July.

3-4 months prior to your day, you’ll have a meeting with our Venue & Catering Specialist to discuss the event timeline, custom floor plan, food/beverage menu, vendor needs, and rental selections. Ensure you have a tentative guest list with you for this meeting, as roughly knowing the amount of people that will attend, will help our team know which areas will best accommodate your guests for each part of your day.

During the layout planning process you will have the choice of which area of The Colonnade you would like to have your ceremony, reception, bar, food service, photo booth and any other design elements or entertainment you would like to incorporate. We will provide you access to our floorplan program so you can track your RSVPs and seating!

The Ceremony

There are four ceremony space options within The Colonnade:

  1. The Courtyard can seat up to 200 people between the upper platform and towards the fountain. Incorporating nature into the moment you say “I do” under our lush greenery or the changing leaves of fall will add to your personal wedding aesthetic, setting the perfect backdrop to your special day!

  2. Our Indoor Ceremony Space #1 highlights our stunning custom wrought iron staircase and brick wall with views of the courtyard fountain.  This setup seats up to 72 guests on the lower level with additional guests overlooking from the railings to a capacity of 200.

  3. The Indoor Ceremony Space #2 option seats up to 130 guests facing the staircase railings with our beautiful chandeliers as a backdrop.  Many of our couples choose to add a custom arbor to this spot to provide a focal point as they exchange vows.

  4. And lastly, Indoor Ceremony Space #3 incorporates our exposed brick interior wall and huge windows. Seating is comfortable for up to 80 guests. Couples standing in front of the arched windows accented by greenery or an arbor make for sensational photos.

The Cocktail Hour & Reception

Having the freedom to use our private courtyard and indoor space as you wish for your cocktail hour and reception, opens up the possibilities for your wildest dreams! We love seeing our couples take advantage of the space to express their love story with unique design elements.

Tailored speciality drinks, the tastiest menu choices (provided by our in-house catering Pepper Moon Catering), little sentiments left for each guest, photo booths, themed late night snacks, guest entertainment, photos of family members or of the couple through the years scattered throughout the reception tables, the perfect band or DJ and a end of night exit to wow your guests are just a few customizable elements we love to see incorporated into your day!

The Fun Stuff

Whether you have a quirky sense of style or if traditional southern elegance is your thing, we have compiled a list of fun ideas you could potentially add into your day to help you express your style! Save any of these ideas if you would like!!

  • Balloon Arches

  • Special Treats along with your cake that are your favorite desserts

  • Adding a flower man instead of a flower girl

  • If you are into games, make a photo scavenger hunt or bingo for your guests to find throughout cocktail hour. Having them find pictures of you and your fiance through the years will be a fun way to keep them engaged and mingling.

  • Adding little gifts on the tables for each guest to take home

  • Having a second dress to wear for when the dancing queen emerges for the evening

  • If you’re a movie buff incorporating your favorite movies into your outfits and design

  • Wearing a gown or suit that is not the traditional wedding colors

  • Greenery and neon name signs

  • Love notes from guests

  • Fun food stations as late night snacks
